1. If you are thinking of sending me a press release, please think twice. I’d much prefer receiving a single sentence or a very short paragraph outlining the story that you are pitching than a press release. (And when I get too many off topic releases from the same source, I have no choice but to filter everything from that address to go straight to trash, I’m sorry to say.)
2. If you want to pitch me a story, I tend to be much more responsive on Twitter and LinkedIn than I do via email, simply because those channels are less clogged than my email.
